After 5 long years, atlast the announcement has come from Tollywood. June 13th is the day where Tollywood Stalwarts fight against each other in a cricket battle for a good cause.
Main motto behind the event is to have a own building for Movie Artistes Association and to help the poor Artistes for their financial needs.
To share all those details with the public, a press conference was called for this evening(May 5th) at Film Club,Film Nagar. Movie Artistes Association President Mr.Murali Mohan, General Secretary (MAA) Ahuti Prasad, Heroes Balakrishna,Siddardh, Tarun, and Rhythm Event Management head Vishnu, Sekhar Sunkara( CEO, MPH Infotech), Ravi(maastars.com business head) and few others have attended the meeting.
Speaking on this occasion Mr. Murali Mohan said” To begin with, first of all i would like to congratulate Mr.Balakrishna for the grand success of his latest movie “Simha” and i wish his upcoming movie “Paramveerachakra” which was just announced also to be a big hit.”Simha” ’s success has worked as Oxygen to the film industry which is in almost dying position in this present situation.The main reason behind having this meeting is to announce a star cricket match which is to be organized on June 13th at L.B.Stadium,Hyderabad. MAA is in a honorable position in the Telugu Film Industry. Under its supervision we are planning to organize this grand event with the co operation of all Tollywood Stars and with the collaboration of Rythm Even Management and maastars.com.
We have been planning to organize this event since a long time but unfortunately its been getting postponed due to some unwanted reasons. First time this Circket even was organized in 2003.Second time also Rhythm Event Management organized the same event in 2005 when Mr.Mohan Babu was the president of MAA. Again consecutively for the third time, the same people have come forward to organize the event in this year 2010. As a part of this event, we are planning an Anti- Piracy run around the ground involving all the stars holding Placards in their hands.This is to highlight and get some awareness in public on Piracy.And also many more cultural events will take place. All majoir stars of Tollywood will participate in this event.This cricket match telecast will be at par with any professional cricket match’s telecast in the world.I request you all to encourage us and make this big event a grand success”.
Taking forward this meeting, Balakrishna said” After a logn time we all Tollywood Stars are going to play for a good cause. As Mr.Murali Mohan said this event will be organized on June 13th, at L.B. Stadium, Hyderabad. There will be four teams which will be playing under myself, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna’s captaincy. I can assure that we all definitely entertain you.We are working very hard for it. THis event’s telecast will also be in a very much professional way. We are going to use 24 cameras and the broadcasters will be those people who have broadcasted the recently concluded IPL.Hope this event will be a blast and solve the purpose which we are playing for”.
Nandamuri Balakrishna ,who is supervising the arrangements of Tollywood Cricket Match was speaking to media and said” AP State Home Minister Mrs.Sabita Reddy, Mayor Kartika Reddy, Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao and few other ministers will attend the inaugural function of Tollywood Cricket Match.Match will start by 9:30 am after all the four teams running around the ground holding placards against Piracy. We have four teams which are as follows. My team is “Balayya Lions”, Chiranjeevi’s team is “Chiru Cheetahs”, Nagarjuna’s team is “Nag Kings” and Venkatesh’s team is “Venky Warriors”. This time we worked on ticket pirce. Hence we’ve decided to fix the price as 200/- Rs which is open to all. We want all the fans to enjoy the match. And VVIP passes will be of 10,000/- Rs.
