The State government on Wednesday hiked the remuneration to the staff working in the Urban Health Centers in the State.

The remuneration of medical officer was hiked to Rs 11,000 per month from the existing Rs 6,000 and the remuneration of MPHS (female) increased to Rs 4,500 from Rs 3,000. The remuneration of community organization was also enhanced to Rs 4,000 from Rs 2,500 while for medical officer's assistant was hiked to Rs 3,900 from Rs 1,500. The salaries of watchman and sweeper were increased to Rs 3,000 from Rs 2,000.
